This project was approved during year three and over the past six months we have recruited the full team of 13 Wardens.
The Wardens provide a highly visible presence and have already contributed a significant reduction in the fear of crime.
They have been effective in helping to target the resources of the Police, through their ability to gather intelligence and also in helping the Local Authority target their own resources, particularly in the areas of abandoned cars and fly tipping.
The Wardens have also demonstrated that their role within the community goes much further than meeting Crime and Community Safety outcomes and this has been recognised and supported.
